Lancaster University Sailing Club focus on team racing, which involves three boats on three, in a short, tense battle. We train on Saturdays ultimately aiming to qualify and perform well at the BUSA University Team Race Nationals event at the end of the season. We also go to numerous events at various universities, mostly in the north, such as Leeds, Sheffield and more. We compete against these other universities in two day events. This year we hope to improve our results and to build on our first ever qualification to BUSA last year by breaking the top 15. Racing is available to those of different levels of experience, if you are a competent casual sailor wanting to learn more, or if you have previous race experience before coming to university and want to improve in order to travel to events in the A team, everyone is welcome to try out!
