History

Founded in 1945 and registered two years later, the RCNL is pleased of having HRH Juan Carlos I King of Spain as the President of Honor. The RCNL made great strides to become one of the most important yacht clubs in Spain, not only due to its location but mainly because of its facilities. In 1959 the original club house was built in the Laredo fishing harbour to host social gatherings and races. Later on it was moved to its present premises which include asn indoor boatyard for at least 200 boats, 100 metres floating quay and a fixed pier with three cranes and petrol, drinking water supply and electric energy supplies accessible from afloat.
