Our members enjoy highly competitive racing in a variety of mono-hull sailing boats on the pristine waters of the Rietvlei Dam, or they can game-view and bird-watch while cruising. Racing events are held on Saturday afternoons and all day on Sundays. Picnic and braai facilities are available on our sprawling lawns under shady trees. There is also a swimming pool. The club has two spacious lounges and a galley that provides light meals and refreshments. We have clean cloakrooms and ample ablution facilities equipped with hot and cold showers. The venue may be hired by members for private functions under certain terms and conditions.
History
Pretoria Sailing Club (PSC) has been in existence for over 50 years and is one of South Africa's premier inland sailing venues. Indeed it is the largest inland dinghy club in the country and unique in its situation in the beautiful Rietvlei Nature Reserve, the only urban reserve in South Africa. Whether you are interested in racing, which takes place on a weekly basis, leisurely cruising or just watching the wildlife and the scenery from the shore, this is the place for you!
