The Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club was founded in April 1960, when 125 acres of land on Yeo Neck was acquired from Levin T. Johnson. Today the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club is five hundred members strong. With the Clubhouse overlooking Pungoteague Creek, the club is the focal point for social and recreational activities for its members. The golf course pool and dock hum with activity all season.
