History

The Saratoga Lake Sailing Club (SLSC) was founded in 1957 and incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1960. The purpose of the club is to promote and develop interest in sailing and sailboat racing and to cooperate with and aid individuals and groups interested in sailing. The club is comprised of 175 memberships which can be either family or individual. Any person with an interest in sailing may apply for membership to the club. SLSC has several programs to teach sailing. The Junior Sailing Program is aimed at providing training to young people from members' families. Formal Adult lessons for members are also available as well as informal lessons and pointers from experienced sailors in the club.
