The Hewlett Point Yacht Club was established in 1944 by a group of hard working individuals who wanted to have not only a place to dock their boats, but also a place to bring their families. They figured that if they did some of the work themselves, they could create a great gathering place, and one that was not too expensive. Guess what? They were right and out of their dreams came the Hewlett Point Yacht Club. This tradition still exists today. Not only does it keep the cost down, but it creates camaraderie amongst the members not found everywhere.
