History

Founded in 1964, PPYC has become over the years the preeminent port of call on the East Coast. The Club was originally known as the Monmouth Power Boat Association, who's aims were to combine educational and social activities in facilities suitable for boating and recreational activities. Members work together on many projects for the benefit of all. Whether it's cleaning up the house in preparation for the season, bubbling the docks, trimming the hedges or just sprucing up the place, we all work together to make PPYC a better place. We have at least 10 scheduled social events during the year. Our 4th of July picnic often exceeds a turnout of over 300 members, family and guests. Spontaneous parties pop up regularly. Commissioning Day Ceremonies are complete in the Naval tradition, right down to the blast of a cannon.
