Bristol Avon Sailing Club was founded in 1955 by a band of local sailors keen to make use of the River Avon on their doorstep for the then rapidly expanding sport of dinghy sailing. The club has grown enormously since then and now has a fine purpose built clubhouse with recently refurbished changing rooms, licensed bar, galley and large club room. We are a medium-sized but still very friendly club with new and long standing members always willing to lend a hand to youngsters and beginners. The club has two safety boats to provide cover for all club sailors whether they are cruising, racing or youngsters capsizing their Topper dinghies just for fun.
