History
Tollesbury Cruising Club was founded in 1970 by the Goldie and Waterhouse families, the builders of the Marina and by several local yachtsmen. The Club welcomes Social Members and is very much geared towards the family, with many social events planned during the year. The Club runs a number of special races, but is mainly a Cruising Club and the Club's Burgee has carried all over Europe from the Baltic to the Mediterranean, to the West Indies, South and North America and to the Pacific. The club is an approved RYA shore based training centre and runs a wide range of training courses.
