Tees & Hartlepool Yacht Club offers some of the best facilities to be found on the North East Coast. As well as open sea, we have access to sheltered waters allowing dinghy sailing to continue well into the winter months. All types of craft up to 750kg can be launched by winch. The compound can accomodate dayboats & cruisers that have been lifted out for the winter. The clubhouse has changing rooms with hot showers and facilities for disabled sailors. There is a lift to the 1st floor lounge and bar. The control tower is manned during cruiser racing and main events. It boasts uninterrupted sea views from Hartlepool Headland to the North Yorkshire Moors. New members are always welcome, you don’t need a boat or even to be able to sail! Adult sail training takes place throughout the summer months & many club members give their time to help new recruits. Crew members are always in demand & this is perhaps the most usual way of ‘learning the ropes’.
