History
Founded in 1978, the Shirehampton Sailing Club is based near the mouth of the river Avon, West of Bristol. Over the years, the club has developed into a friendly club. The main activities are dinghy cruising and racing. The club is RYA affiliated and we welcome new members who are novice sailors. We have links with RYA training centres where members who are new to sailing can learn to sail and where experienced sailors can develop their sailing or safety boat skills. The club does not have the facilities to run open events. But, we do encourage members to enter open events at other clubs.
