History
The reservoir, near the A508 north of Northampton, covers 450 acres so there is never any problem getting onto the water. The site slopes down directly to the water with access by concrete slipways. The Clubhouse has modern facilities, a galley run by professional caterers, a bar and a comfortable lounge. Virtually any monohull dinghy may be cruised or raced. The main racing fleets are Laser, Lark and Solo, followed by the Menagerie fleet consisting of RS 800s, RS 400s, Fireballs, Flying 15s, Phantoms, RS Vareos, RS200s and GP14s. Our Cadets and Youth members sail Optimists, Toppers and Laser 4.7s. We welcome Windsurfers and have a reserved Parking and Launching area for them.
