History
Minehead Sailing Club was established around 1960 and has been promoting sailing in the area ever since. In the past most members bought a single type of boat – generally a dayboat, and racing in a large fleet most weekends was the norm. A racing programme remains, with around twenty races a year while many members enjoy leisurely sailing along the beautiful Exmoor coast. The regatta is the high point of the season with visitors from all the other watersport clubs in the area.
