Lyme Regis Sailing Club was formed in 1921 by a small group of sailing enthusiasts with the object of encouraging amateur sailing. This aim is written into the constitution of the Club. There is club sailing on an organized basis between March and October. For dinghy sailors there is a varied programme of racing events and for keelboats a number of club cruises and races throughout the season. Youth instruction takes place during the summer months. The club has a good reputation for its organization and successful running of Open meetings and National Championships.
