Downs Sailing Club founded in 1949, became an approved RYA training centre in 2007, and can therefore run RYA courses and issue RYA qualifications in its own right. To maintain our status we have an annual inspection visit by RYA HQ Staff At Downs we offer a number of specialist courses for members, which are run by qualified instructors on a voluntary basis. We are not a commercial training establishment.
