The Nautical Club of Chios currently has a fully functioning men and women teams for water polo, swimming and sailing. However, all Chians are proud for their men polo team.
History
The Nautical Club of Chios Club was founded in 1930 Chios by eminent Chian (L. Kalvokoresi, G.Choremi, Chatzifragkouli Andreadis, D. Pitta, Ch. Zafiraki, M. Kytrilaki and others). In the beginning, it was a club with the prerequisite for one to be member should own a yacht over 15 meters. But failed to evolve in this form and so in 1932 it was decided to reorganize. They took young people with love for watersport which resulted in the club to grow very quickly and become one open to all sailing club.
