History
Founded in 1892, RVYC is the oldest yacht club in British Columbia. Over the past one hundred and twenty years, RVYC has made significant contributions to the sailing, seafaring, and cruising communities of the Pacific Northwest. RVYC encourages its members to be active in a number activities that are supported by the Club. RVYC provides sailors with easy and affordable access to weekly club races, involvement with a variety of sailing fleets including dinghies and keel boats, and the opportunity to gain experience as crew in a variety of races and regattas. As the host club of the Swiftsure International Yacht Race, RVYC also allows members to participate in and assist with a premier yachting event.
