The Edmonton Yacht Club was established to maintain and conduct a sailing club that would promote the sport of sailing and other athletic sports. The club also encourages social Interaction between members of the club, other clubs, and the general public. The annual Seba Beach Volleyball tournament is a prime example. Since the Club was formed in 1923, it has become one of western Canada's Premier Facilities. E.Y.C. membership has rostered many casual sailors as well as those who have gone on to compete in Regattas around the world. One such notable is Lawrence Lemieux. He started as a young sailor at the Edmonton Yacht Club and has achieved worldwide recognition for his many sailing achievements. Our members enjoy diversity and exposure to many different levels of sailing activities... Whether a qualified Yachtsman, or you have just acquired your first boat, The Edmonton Yacht Club has programs and facilities to meet your needs. Nothing could be better for your family.
