History
Since 1899, Cedar Lake Yacht Club has promoted sailing and competitive racing. Located on the west shore of Big Cedar Lake, our club is among the region's finest facilities. The racing schedule takes full advantage of Wisconsin summers. Racing takes place on Wednesday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. Members can compete in any of the sanctioned one-design boat classes. While promoting all aspects of sailing, CLYC maintains a strong emphasis on one-design racing. Each year the club conducts hundreds of races for members and hosts numerous regattas, which attract sailors from all over the country. The CLYC's five classes are the C, MC and M-16 scows, the X boat, and the Optimist Dinghy. Club members can also join the radio controlled F Fleet. Whatever your age and skill level, there's a fleet that's right for you!
