History
Jolly Roger Sailing Club was formed in 1946 by a group of youngsters on the banks of the Ottawa River in Toledo, Ohio for the sole purpose to better enjoy sailing. The founder's purpose for creating JRSC was to bring together all who enjoy the simple pleasure of the actions of wind, water and sail. JRSC is about its people, about the love of sailing and about the camaraderie that draws sailors together. Since then the club has prospered and grown, but the primary theme of this club remains the same: to promote and encourage sailing and racing for pleasure and sport, to foster good fellowship among its members and to provide the facilities for both.
