The purpose of the Nyack Boat Club is to encourage and support yachting and yacht racing on the Hudson River and surrounding waters, good seamanship and navigation, and to provide for the recreation and enjoyment of its members. In order to steady boating costs at reasonable levels, the club's philosophy has always been that of a Do-It-Yourself organization, with the membership being responsible for facility maintenance and improvements.
