Pattaconk Yacht Club is a predominantly power boat owners club. Emphasis of the club is on providing an economical location for slipping a boat, with easy access to the mouth of the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound. Boating safety and boating community are stressed. The club offers six structured dinners per year and a number of informal barbeques and picnics. An annual cruising rendezvous is held usually in the Long Island Sound waters. Attendance at the events is encouraged, but not required.
