Weir Wood Sailing Club boasts some 280 acres of inland sailing waters that stretch for about 1.5 miles. We are nestled only a few miles South of East Grinstead just off the A22 at Forest Row. The club was founded in 1966 as a winter only club and became an all year club in 1981. We are fortunate enough to have probably the best and most beautiful sailing waters in the South East. A little know fact is Weir Wood SC was the first ever sailing club in the UK on inland waters with a treatment plant. As a registered RYA Training Centre we run a full complement of sailing courses from beginners to advanced, for children through to adults, 7 to 70’s and above. Training courses are run by our volunteer team of instructors, who are all members themselves. The courses are run mainly on Saturdays, which leaves Sundays free for Club racing.
