Newbiggin Sailing Club is an RYA affiliated sailing club, formed in 1962 by local enthusiasts. The south facing bay provides excellent sea-sailing opportunities and as we launch from the beach we can sail at any state of the tide. We have a recently extended and well appointed clubhouse occupying most of four floors of the former Mechanic's Institute. New members are always welcome, whatever their age, ability or sailing experience. Younger sailors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We try to offer all potential sailors the ability to get on the water without significant financial outlay.
